Our Story

How We Met

Our love story started with a swipe. Back in 2020, post hectic COVID lockdowns, and despite the fact that Lachlan's main Tinder picture was him photoshopped next to Chopper Read, the stars aligned and we matched! We chatted back and forth over various social media before Tanika finally convinced her dad to let her meet Lachlan (after Lachlan offered to meet Tanika's entire family on the first date). The rest is now history (or so they say).
In our 4.5 years of dating, we have made so many beautiful memories alongside our gorgeous family and friends (that's you!). From buying 4 different cars, moving into our first home, and adopting our precious little fur-babies.
From learning to ride dirtbikes, learning to shoot rifle's (and now being made an example of what NOT to do when you're holding a gun IYKYK), to completely re-doing the pride and joy GQ Patrol.
Ask us what we love about each other, and you'll get the real deal. Tanika will say that Lachlan has an uncanny ability to make her smile when she feels as though everything is wrong in her world. He keeps her grounded and can simultaneously make even the most boring of tasks full of laughter. He inspires her. Lachlan, on the other hand, will say that Tanika completes him and that she makes him feel a little less like a puzzle missing a piece. That when he finally sees her beautiful smile after a long day, it's as if nothing else matters and everything in that moment is perfect. She completes him.
Enough from us, as we're sure you'll hear plenty of loved up stories on the wedding day. We can't wait to kick off this next phase of our life together as Mr and Mrs Glynn in one of our favourite places, and one of the most meaningful to Lachlan's childhood. See you at the alter!
Lots of love, Lachlan and Tanika xoxo

Frequently Asked Questions

Are kids allowed?

Of course! We love your kiddos, and have organised plenty of entertainment to keep them happy.

Can I bring a plus-one?

As much as we wish we could say yes, we are wanting to celebrate with the ones we love the most, and have an intimate gathering. If you've been given a plus-one, your invite will say 'To 'your name' along with a guest'

What is the dress-code?

We are hoping you will take this opportunity to dress up with us! Cocktail wear is requested. For the guys, that may look like a jacket and tie or a traditional suit. For the girls, a floor length or midi dress. Think colours, florals and patterns! We also recommend bringing a jacket as Goulburn can get pretty chilly in Winter.

What type of food will be served?

We are having a buffet style dinner with plenty of options to suit everyone's taste. Gluten free and vegetarian options will be offered for both adults and children, please just note this on your RSVP form so we have enough for everyone.

How do I find the Reception venue?

Please avoid using Waze if possible as it takes you to to an incorrect location, using google/Apple Maps will ensure you arrive at the right destination. There will be a sign at the entrance to signal where we are, however if you have troubles - there will be plenty of people available on the day to help out!

What time should we arrive to the venue?

Please arrive at the Church by no later than 2:45pm to allow time for seating and for the Priest's announcement before the processional begins.

Gifts or no gifts?

Your presence is plenty of a gift for us and we are so grateful you took the time to join us! We will have a wishing well on our guestbook table for you to put a card if you so choose though 🤍

Unplugged Ceremony?

Out of respect for the Priest and the Church it is a requirement that phones are left in purses/pockets for the duration of the ceremony. This will also keep our photos looking tidy, and ensure there are minimal disruptions (we know you'll be eager to get to the open bar). However, fear not, our photographer will have plenty of lovely shots to share, so you won't miss out!
